A Primary Source Search means that we contact the appropriate County Court directly. This insures the most accurate, up to date and inclusive data possible. It also assures you that there is recourse if the applicant disputes the information we provide.

Database searches have their uses, but if the applicant does dispute the data derived from a database you may have a problem! There is no way to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which requires that any disputed information be investigated.

At The Source, we always do a Primary Source Search on all counties where your applicant has lived, worked or gone to school and report that information back according to all Federal and State laws. Furthermore, we are expert at investigating disputed data, and are happy to assist your applicant in dealing with inaccurate or incomplete data.

Our mission to keep you compliant with the FCRA and all other applicable laws while providing you with the data you need when you need it!
